This is the dialog box for adding your own pictures to MiglioSoft Wallpaper. For the most part it’s fairly strait forward , your standard "open file" dialog. The only difference being the addition of a View button. After selecting a picture in the Filename window, clicking the View button will display that picture. This allows you to see what a particular file is (if the filename isn’t overly descriptive) before adding it to your User Library.

To add a single picture just select the file in the Filename pane and click the Add button. When the file is selected, a small thumbnail of the image will be displayed in the Preview pane and the image dimensions will be shown in the Details pane. Additionally, double clicking the filename will add the picture as well.

To add multiple pictures you may use the standard Windows multi-selection methods. Holding down the SHIFT key while clicking will select sequential blocks of files, while holding down the CTRL key when clicking will allow the selection of non-sequential blocks of files. Additionally, multiple files can be selected with the mouse by holding down the left mouse button and dragging the cursor over the files to be selected.

Note: If multiple files are selected, you must click the Add button to add them. Double clicking a multi-selection will remove the selections and only add the file that was double clicked.

As pictures are added, you will be prompted to enter a descriptive caption. The caption you enter is what's displayed in the main screen's image list. This is useful for when a filename is rather cryptic, and you would like to identify it with something more meaningful. The caption defaults to the filename (minus the extension), but can be changed to anything you like.

Note: Entering a caption does not alter the original filename. It is solely used internally by MiglioSoft Wallpaper for picture identification. The original file remains unchanged.

When adding multiple pictures, you may click on the Stop Asking Me button in the Enter Caption dialog box to use the default caption for all the pictures being added. This simplifies the bulk add process by eliminating the need to manually confirm each caption. The entire selection will be added without any intervention required. Captions can always be edited at a later time via the Edit dialog.
